This was a deeply impactful trip to all those who were able to take part in it. Thank you again for helping support us in bringing these students on a trip that has a lasting impact on their lives inside and out of the Jewish community setting, be it a university or otherwise. This grant helped cover the cost of bringing a survivor with on the trip.
Testimony from Student Participant
There was something incredibly special about participating in the march. I've grown up in UK Jewish youth movements and now transferred my skills to the vibrant on-campus life we have. I knew that we, as the UK delegation, would bring something special, but the ruach and feeling were so much more. As I shared in my speech during the UK closing ceremony, “I knew that we would be marching with Holocaust survivors. However, we were not just marching. We, the students and young people, were leading the delegation; we were leading the march. We were singing and sharing our pride together, both Jewish and non- Jewish students. Reflecting on this experience reminds me, and all of you, that we, as the next generation of leaders, must lead the remembrance of the Holocaust, of the Shoah, and continue to tell both the stories of our families and of everyone else's”.
Thank you for an incredible experience.
