The Jewish Youth Fund had 21 applications with a total requested grant value of £156,000.
There were many very high-quality applications, and it was an extremely challenging allocation. The Trustees wanted to ensure that whatever funds were awarded would have a significant and measurable impact on as many young Jewish people as possible.
The Jewish Youth Fund allocated £41,500 across 11 charities. £36,500 was awarded to mainstream charities/projects, and £5,000 was awarded for charities with an additional needs’ focus.
The Trustees anticipate a budget of approximately £32,500 to allocate for applications received for Winter 2026. This is in line with previous year’s ratios of Winter to Summer allocations, correlating to the number of applications and requests usually received.
